Pupils of a Number of Marzes Hosted in National Assembly

On November 14, within the framework of the Open Lesson the pupils and teachers of schools of a number of marzes of Armenia visited the RA National Assembly.

The deputy of the RA NA My Step Faction Rustam Bakoyan met with the pupils and teachers of School N 3 of Masis town of Ararat Marz.

He has highlighted the fact of having qualified education and has noted that the educated person easily overcomes any difficulty. “The joy of victories reached with difficulty is bigger,” the MP said.

During the meeting going on in Q & A format Rustam Bakoyan answered to the pupils’ questions regarding the educational system, the capital repairing of schools and the ongoing reforms in Armenia. Touching upon the Velvet revolution implemented in our country and the democratic process the MP has noted that Armenia is on the list of the most democratic countries of the world.

The pupils were interested in the functions of the legislative body, as well as the MP’s activity. Rustam Bakoyan expressed readiness to visit the school and conduct an Open Lesson on the indicated questions.

Within the framework of the RA NA Open Lesson representatives of Shirak Marz of the organization Youth Achievements of Armenia and the pupils and pedagogues of Vladimir Karapetyan N 3 Basic School of Sevan Community of Gegharkunik Marz also visited the legislative body.

The NA deputy Nazeli Baghdasaryan and the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Varazdat Karapetyan conducted the Open Lessons.

The MP from Shirak Marz Nazeli Baghdasaryan referred to the draft state budget for 2020, presented the procedures for the draft revision, debate and adoption. To her conviction, the current budget is unprecedented in terms of the tax collecting, which gives an opportunity to include high incomes and expenditures in the basic financial document of the country for the coming year. The rise of the pensions and salaries being designed was considered important.

Regarding the legislative reforms, she underlined the importance of the Constitution, the Electoral Code, the law on Parties being envisaged in the near future and the importance of the revision of the new Criminal Code. “The legislative reforms are aimed at the rise of the transparency and accountability of the business activity,” Nazeli Baghdasaryan said. She advised the schoolchildren never to change their own value of systems and follow their principles. Varazdat Karapetyan presented to the pupils the structure of the parliament, the functions of the Standing and Ad hoc Committees, the procedures for the draft revision, debate and adoption. He has reflected upon the environmental issues, emphasized the reservation of drinking water and cleanness of air, as well as has informed that a programme is implemented with the European Union, which tries to reduce and prevent the ecological damages caused to the operating mines. “Your future is connected with the cleanness of air and water,” the Chair of the Standing Committee said.

The guests who visited the parliament followed the works of the regular sitting from the box of the NA Session Hall and got acquainted with the history of the legislative power in the NA Museum.
